First time visitors to Cameron Highlands will probably be surprised by the number of things to see and do that cannot be found in the rest of Malaysia. It is the only area in the country with tea plantations, vegetable farms, strawberry farms, rose gardens and jungle trails.
Most of the interesting places to visit begin at Brinchang with the Big Red Strawberry Farm. Along the road towards Kea Farm there are potted plants, flowers and souvenirs for sale. At Kea Farm itself there are two large markets selling fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers. There is also the Butterfly Farm, Butterfly Garden and Ee Feng Gu Honey Bee Farm. The small road leading to Sungai Palas Tea Plantation and Gunung Brinchang, the highest road on Peninisular Malaysia is also in this area.
The bus station and taxi stand are in Tanah Rata and most of the jungle walks start from around the town.

Wonderfully scenic tea estate open for visitors to view the factory, tea shop and audio visual centre.
Located along the Gunung Brinchang road. Turn left after the Butterfly Farm near the Equatorial Resort.

    Gunung Brinchang
Situated along the Sungai Palas Estate road there are panoramic views from the top of highest road in Peninsular Malaysia at 2000 metres.
Turn left at the guard house on the Sungai Palas Estate road, then left again. Drive carefully as the road is narrow and quite steep.

    Jungle Walks
There are many interesting walks in the Highlands. Some are just a gentle stroll and others a half-day treck for the very fit, all are enjoyable. If you need help to choose the walks best suited to you, most hotels and guest houses are very knowledgeable and helpful. 		 
 
    Butterfly Farms
There are two butterfly farms in the highlands, Butterfly Farm and Butterfly Garden. Both have numerous butterflies and other insects including the well-known Raja Brooke butterfly.
